l) Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

(i) Authors are encouraged to consult the journal editor before submitting papers related to the use of AI in their paper submission.
(ii) AI should not be identified as authors since they cannot control copyright and licensing agreements or take accountability for the submitted paper.
(iii) Any use of generative AI tools in the paper must be explicitly acknowledged. The full name of the tool, together with its version number, must be stated. This declaration needs to be in the Methods or Acknowledgments section of the paper submitted.
(iv) Any plan to use an AI tool should ensure that the tool is reliable and suitable for the intended use and that the terms that apply to the tool offer adequate security, confidentiality, and intellectual property rights protections.
(v) Currently, MJQR does not allow the production and editing of photos, figures, or original research data using generative AI. Any feature added, hidden, moved, or removed from an image or figure is referred to as "manipulation."
(vi) Any use of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in research should always be done under human supervision and in complete transparency.
(vii) Authors should not submit papers that use generative AI technologies in ways that take the place of their primary roles as researchers and authors. For example, as the creation of writing or code without thorough editing, or the creation of synthetic data without a sound approach to replace missing data, or the creation of any erroneous information, including extra materials or abstracts
(viii) The following AI applications are allowed:

(a) Idea generation and idea exploration
(b) Language improvement and enhancement
(c) Interactive online search with LLM-enhanced search engines
(d) Literature classification
(e) Coding assistance c. If the corresponding author wishes to provide additional information, clarifications, or updates after acceptance, they may submit an Addendum Note. This note will be published separately and linked to the original article.

m) Addendum Guidelines

(a) Must be submitted only by the corresponding author
(b) Will be subjected to editorial review
(c) A processing fee of RM 50 will be charged for each addendum submitted

This policy ensures the integrity and consistency of the publication process while allowing for necessary updates in a structured manner.

n) All published articles will be under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, CC BY 4.0.

o) Other points. Proofs will be sent to the author (first-named author if no corresponding author is identified on multi-authored papers). They should be returned within the specified time, preferably by email. Corrections should be restricted to typesetting errors. Authors are requested to answer all queries in full. No subsequent additional corrections will be allowed, so author(s) need to ensure that the first communication is complete. MJQR is in the process of migrating to an online journal submission system.
